"ANYTHING
GOES"
AT
THE LITTLE THEATRE, BERGHAPTON
Thurton
and Berghapton Players have done it again with a superb performance of 'Anything
Goes'.
Directed
by Ray Wharton, the action of the play which takes place on the SS. American in
the 1930's, was very professionally delivered, with slick scenery changes, and
sets sympathetic to the golden age of this American musical comedy.
It
is very difficult to single any of the talented actors out, as all are so
excellent, but special mention must
go to Tina Vanston portraying the part of Reno Sweeney, and Lynton Johnson
acting as Lord Evelyn Oakleigh - both these actors had great feel and passion
in their interpretation of the characters they were portraying, and their
delivery and singing was admirable.
As
ever, Simon Peck as Moonface Martin made his usual polished contribution, and
also Christopher Penn showed off his remarkable talents.
No wonder Thurton & Berghapton Players get
their 'Little Theatre' shows booked a year in advance, especially the popular
Gala evenings, where a delicious
meal can be enjoyed before the show.
